U.M.I.C. was chartered in 1938 to write property and casualty insurance in the state of Oklahoma. Starting in a small office off of N. Klein, U.M.I.C. has seen steady growth over its 67 years. Out growing the N. Klein location in 1969, U.M.I.C. moved to a new office at 1100 N. Robinson. In just 9 years U.M.I.C. grew to the point of needing more room again. With 20 employees in 1978, the office was moved to 1108 N.W. 16th. It remained here for 22 years. In the year 2000, the office was moved out of Oklahoma City to 1885 Piedmont Road North in Piedmont Oklahoma.
